Volleyball coaches now have their own shelf in the drill library, with eight drills your players can watch on the whole court before they run them. Find them all on the volleyball drills page.

What is on the shelf

  • Pepper, the pass, set and hit warm-up in pairs, to start every session.
  • Serve-receive passing to target, from the setter-in-1 formation, with the setter releasing on the serve.
  • Setter footwork and setting to 4 and 2, and the approach and hitting lines, for the set and the attack.
  • Block footwork at the net and digging a down ball, for defence on both sides of the net.
  • A serving-to-zones game and the free-ball transition, for the start of every rally and the best chance to score.

Every player in the animations wears their position, S, OH, MB, OPP, L and DS, and the ball crosses the net where it really would. Each drill has the setup, the coaching points, how to make it harder, and the rule it is practising, from the overlap rule and the three hits to the back-row attack. Where youth formats play it differently, the drill says so and points you to your federation's or league's rules.

Put them in a practice plan

Press Add to a practice plan on any drill, or pick volleyball in the practice plan maker. The drills come with their time and the one thing to say, and they print on your run sheet. If you have an account, Add a drill in Sessions lists them too.
