About this play
The 1992 NCAA East Regional final, Duke v Kentucky, in overtime. Duke trailed 103-102 with 2.1 seconds left. Grant Hill threw the inbound pass the length of the court from the far baseline (shown here arriving from halfway); Christian Laettner caught it at the free-throw line, dribbled once, turned and made the jump shot at the buzzer. Duke won 104-103 and went on to win the national title. The two defenders near him stayed off, wary of fouling.
