About this play

Tex Winter's triangle, run by Phil Jackson's Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers through eleven championships. The point guard passes to the wing and cuts through to the strong-side corner, so the post, the wing and the corner form the sideline triangle, while the weak-side wing rotates up to the top. The wing then feeds the post. It works because every pass has three options behind it and the spacing makes a double-team on the post leave someone open.
