About this play
Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals in Salt Lake City. Utah led 86-85 when Michael Jordan stripped Karl Malone in the post and brought the ball up himself. Isolated on the right against Bryon Russell, he drove right, pulled back to his left as Russell lost his footing, and made the jump shot with 5.2 seconds left. Chicago won 87-86 for their sixth title. It worked because the floor was cleared: four teammates spread wide left Jordan one defender to beat.
