About this play
New Zealand v England, Rugby World Cup semi-final, Newlands, Cape Town, 18 June 1995. Early in the match the ball was moved left to wing Jonah Lomu near the touchline. He brushed off Tony Underwood and Will Carling and ran straight over full-back Mike Catt to score; he finished with four tries in a 45-29 win. The play is the mismatch: a wing of Lomu's size and pace given the ball in space with only the back three between him and the line.
