About this play
England v Australia, Sydney, 22 November 2003, 17-17 in the last minute of extra time. After a lineout, Matt Dawson sniped from the ruck towards the Australian 22. With Dawson caught at the bottom of the ruck, Neil Back passed to Martin Johnson, who carried one more phase to keep the ball tight and the defence set. Dawson then passed back to Jonny Wilkinson in the pocket, and Wilkinson dropped the winning goal with his right, weaker foot. England won 20-17.
