About this play
The flex, a continuity offence used widely in American college and high-school basketball. After the ball is reversed, the player in the weak-side corner cuts along the baseline off a screen from the big on the block, looking for a layup on the ball side. The guard who made the pass then sets a down screen on that screener, who pops to the elbow for a jump shot. It works because the defence has to help on the cut, and the screener's defender is the one who helped.
