About this play
A set the Golden State Warriors made famous for Stephen Curry. The shooter starts under the basket and runs straight up the lane between two screeners standing apart at the free-throw line. As he passes through, they step together behind him like elevator doors closing, and his defender is shut out. He catches at the top of the key with space for a three. It works because the gap is open long enough for the shooter and closed for the defender a step behind.
