About this play
A set associated with shooters such as Reggie Miller's Indiana Pacers and Richard Hamilton's Detroit Pistons. The shooter starts under the basket with a double stagger screen on one side and a single screen on the other, and chooses which way to go. Here he comes off the stagger to the left wing for the catch and shot. It works because the defender cannot cheat to one side without giving up the other, and the screens are already set when the shooter moves.
