About this play
England v Australia, Rugby World Cup final, Sydney, 22 November 2003. Shortly before half-time Lawrence Dallaglio broke through the middle, Jonny Wilkinson took the ball on and drew the cover, and Jason Robinson outpaced the defence to score in the left corner. It was England's only try of the final. The pattern is a break, a second carrier who commits the next defender, and the fastest man left with space on the outside.
